    The Orthodox Theology Chair University in Bialystok is a interfaculty unit, direct subordinate to President (in Polish: Rector) of the University. Orthodox Culture Centre at Sw. Mikolaja 5 street is a residence of the Chair. Orthodox Theology Chair was began activity on March 5, 1999. He is continuation of scientific theologian research guaided at interwar period by Orthodox Theology Study (1924-1939) Warsaw University. After Second World War, orthodox theology since 1957 is lectured in Christian Theological Academy in Warsaw (ChAT), and in Orthodox Spiritual Seminary in Warsaw (PSD).
    Chair numbered 5 scientific workers, now. His Eminence Metropolitan prof. SAWA (Hrycuniak) is a chairman. In chair worked also: father prof. Marian Bendza, father Ph.D. Jerzy Tofiluk, father Ph.D. Henryk Paprocki and father Ph.D. Doroteusz Sawicki.
    The three saints hierarchs: Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian, John Chrysostom, is the patrons of the Chair. His titulared theologian, and for point out his alike larged merits, his feast is celebrated common. That his created of the liturgy, as we know nowadays. The liturgy of the John Chrysostom is nowadays most often celebrated, but the liturgy of the Basil the Great is celebrated on determined days. The three saints hierarchs feast (synaxis of the hierarchs) is celebrated on day 12.02 (Old Style 30.01), as the patronal feast of the Orthodox Theology Chair.
    The chair organized annual scientific conferences in June month. Within the framework of didactic activity the chair lead courses for religion lecturers, opened lectures from cycle of the Orthodox Culture Forum, and also lead lectures on high study of the orthodox theology.
    Chair published own scientific periodical "Elpis". It is continuation of the periodical of Study of the Orthodox Theology in Warsaw University published in years 1926-1937 under the same title.
